  I am the woman that God called me to be. I am proud, and I know that this is my Father’s temple. I honor God with my heart, mind, body, and soul. I stand in the mist of the world hungry and thirsty for the living God. I am saying no to depression, sin, addiction, and abuse. In God’s eyes I am worth more than silver and gold. Even though I was told that I would never amount to anything. I was at the end of the line, and the bottom of the barrel. Now God is getting ready to make me the head and not the tail. Lately I have been caught up in a world of obligations.  With school in full swing I have been sticking to the old routine.  The children think that the chore wheel is an instrument of punishment, and I see it as a gift.  Menus hang on the kitchen wall, and I have a file of all my recipes.  The dryer is constantly humming, and the washer is cleaning yesterday's laundry.  Did I mention that the hedges need trimming, and the leaves have started to fill the yard.  The best thing about the beginning of a new season are the colors of the leaves.  My yard is full of colorful leaves. My children and I are learning from each other.  They have taught me some valuable lessons in the simplest ways.  I believe that children will learn from their environment.  In my home we talk a lot about God, and the importance of His commandments.  I try to lead by example, and have learned that my kids will follow.  One of the greatest lessons that they can learn is to let their lights shine. This is a beginning of a brand new week, and I am looking forward to each new day that will bless me with.  I keep saying new, because God is starting to make all things new in my life.  In my mind I keep thinking about 2nd Corinthians 5:17.  The scripture says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone, the new is here!"  This scripture contains such a strong message, and it has been in my spirit for some time now. God is a big God, and God is a mighty God.  He is not  God of small power.  HE is Omnipotent, and HE is capable of all things.  We should not place limits on God, because he is a God of perfect timing.  He is the great I am , and Jehovah Jireh.  God is Jehovah Rapha, and Jehovah Nissi.  God is a shelter in the storm, and a light in dark places.  God is Jehovah Rohi, and Jehovah Shammah.  He is bread for the hungry.  God is water in dry places, and He is Jehovah Tsidkenu.  God can be whatever you need.  Glory to God HE is a st

  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ the new creation has come: The old is gone, the new is here." 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV       Father God thank you for the weekend.  As I look back over the week I can say that I have been truly blessed.  The children made it through another week of school, and my week was very productive.  I think that I have earned the right to relax on this day.  I am taking this time to thank the Lord for what he has done for me.  When I contemplate on the past I can see exactly where God has brought me from, and I can be thankful that I am not what I used to be.   Before I let my mind rest I just wanted to say that all things are becoming new.  The old things are starting to pass away, and change is imminent.  I know all things are becoming new in my life.  The Holy Spirit has been dealing with me on a new season, and I am glad to say goodbye to the things of the past.  What can I gain if I am stuck in my former life?  That will not bring my vis

Life as a mom can be very busy.  There are children that need you twenty four hours a day.  Laundry that needs to be washed daily, and a house that has to be cleaned.  I did not mention the list of chores that has to be completed during the week.  For most of us life can get a little out of control. Every now and again we need to breathe and relax.  At some point during my busy day I need to take a break.  A moment where I can spend some time with my Father.  This quality time can be first thing in the morning, or it can be an afternoon prayer during lunch.  The important thing is taking time to (commune) communicate with God.  Having a personal relationship with the Father is vital in our Christian walk.  Just knowing Him on a persona level can bring a peace of mind.  Even when the day is overwhelming God's presence can have a calming affect. There are many ways to communicate with God.  Prayer, worshipping through music, or just talking with the Father.  Whatever way you ha

It is so important that we identify with God ,and what he wants for our lives. Doing the will of God is the most important thing in my life. To know that I have a purpose has given life more meaning. I know that God has me here for a reason. That reason is His divine purpose. God did not design us just to exist on the earth. When he formed me in my mother's womb he had a specific plan in mind. God has a time for everything. We all know that life can be short, and we should place value on every second. I am ready to do all that God has called me to do. There is a time and a place for everything. God has only given us one life. It is vital that we not waste our time that we have here on earth. When I look at the world that we live in I have to ask myself some questions.  As a mother should I be strict on my children, or give them a little freedom?  As a Christian parent should I allow the kids to watch all cartoons?  Do certain celebrities have an impact on my children's lives?  These are just a few of the questions that I ask myself each day.  As a mom what should I do? With so much new technology children have a chance to access anything from any location.  I think that media plays an important role in what children are viewing and hearing.  With the click of a button they can see anything on the Internet.  One touch of the remote, and kids are looking at all kinds of music videos.  Is all this media really healthy for developing minds? The other day my daughter was watching a music video of a very famous singer.  She looked at me, and said she wanted to be just like her.  Immediately I asked her what she liked about the singer.  She said "Mommy the singer is

Romans 13:8-10 says" Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever love others have fulfilled the law.  The commandments you shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not covet, or whatever other command: "Love thy neighbor as yourself"  Love does no harm to a neighbor.  Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." God has called all of us to love one another.  It is a law that every human is obligated to fulfill.  Not only should we love one another, but we should have respect for our fellow man.  The world is made up of all kinds of people, and we are all different in many ways.  Over the years I have learned that we all have different points of view.  Different views on religion, beliefs, and life in general.  No matter how many differences we have God still expects us to fulfill the law of loving each other.   I have placed my trust in the Lord, because I know that God is not like man that he shall lie. Whatever God says will come to pass. It is written in His word that "in hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time." Titus 1:2 We do not have to fear when we place our trust in the Lord. It is only when we have doubt that God can not work in our situation. By daily confession I am learning and believing for what God wants me to have. Faith is the substance of all things hoped for, and the desires that we have in our hearts. By our faith God can come and grant us those desires according to His will. By our faith he can work in our situations, and our circumstances. Psalms 16:1 says "Keep me safe my God for in you I take refuge." I believe that God is an ever present help in the time of trouble. In some parts of the world many people are dying.  The very things that we may take for granted are the things that someone else may need to survive.  Something as simple as a plate of food, or a cup of water.  I was watching television last night, and I saw a commercial that touched my heart.  A group of small children were huddled around a water well.  They were holding cups waiting for a glass of fresh water.  I could tell that they were thirsty, and in need of a cool drink.  The missionary said that some people walk seven miles just to obtain water for that day. I thank God for providing all of my needs, and I pray that he will provide for them as well.    Blessed are those who have regard for the weak the Lord delivers them in times of trouble The Lord protects and preserves them they are counted among the blessed of the land he does not give them over to the desires of their foes The Lord sustains them on their sick bed and restores them from their illness.
