  I am the woman that God called me to be. I am proud, and I know that this is my Father’s temple. I honor God with my heart, mind, body, and soul. I stand in the mist of the world hungry and thirsty for the living God. I am saying no to depression, sin, addiction, and abuse. In God’s eyes I am worth more than silver and gold. Lately I have been caught up in a world of obligations.  With school in full swing I have been sticking to the old routine.  The children think that the chore wheel is an instrument of punishment, and I see it as a gift.  Menus hang on the kitchen wall, and I have a file of all my recipes.  The dryer is constantly humming, and the washer is cleaning yesterday's laundry.  Did I mention that the hedges need trimming, and the leaves have started to fill the yard.  The best thing about the beginning of a new season are the colors of the leaves.  My yard is full of colorful leaves. This is a beginning of a brand new week, and I am looking forward to each new day that will bless me with.  I keep saying new, because God is starting to make all things new in my life.  In my mind I keep thinking about 2nd Corinthians 5:17.  The scripture says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone, the new is here!"  This scripture contains such a strong message, and it has been in my spirit for some time now. Life as a mom can be very busy.  There are children that need you twenty four hours a day.  Laundry that needs to be washed daily, and a house that has to be cleaned.  I did not mention the list of chores that has to be completed during the week.  For most of us life can get a little out of control. Every now and again we need to breathe and relax.  At some point during my busy day I need to take a break.  A moment where I can spend some time with my Father.  This quality time can be first thing in the morning, or it can be an afternoon prayer during lunch.  The important thing is taking time to (commune) communicate with God.  Having a personal relationship with the Father is vital in our Christian walk.  Just knowing Him on a persona level can bring a peace of mind.  Even when the day is overwhelming God's presence can have a calming affect. It is so important that we identify with God ,and what he wants for our lives. Doing the will of God is the most important thing in my life. To know that I have a purpose has given life more meaning. I know that God has me here for a reason. That reason is His divine purpose. God did not design us just to exist on the earth. When he formed me in my mother's womb he had a specific plan in mind. God has a time for everything. We all know that life can be short, and we should place value on every second. I am ready to do all that God has called me to do. There is a time and a place for everything. God has only given us one life. It is vital that we not waste our time that we have here on earth. When I look at the world that we live in I have to ask myself some questions.  As a mother should I be strict on my children, or give them a little freedom?  As a Christian parent should I allow the kids to watch all cartoons?  Do certain celebrities have an impact on my children's lives?  These are just a few of the questions that I ask myself each day.  As a mom what should I do? With so much new technology children have a chance to access anything from any location.  I think that media plays an important role in what children are viewing and hearing.  With the click of a button they can see anything on the Internet.  One touch of the remote, and kids are looking at all kinds of music videos.  Is all this media really healthy for developing minds?   I have placed my trust in the Lord, because I know that God is not like man that he shall lie. Whatever God says will come to pass. In some parts of the world many people are dying.  The very things that we may take for granted are the things that someone else may need to survive.  Something as simple as a plate of food, or a cup of water.  I was watching television last night, and I saw a commercial that touched my heart.  A group of small children were huddled around a water well.  They were holding cups waiting for a glass of fresh water.  I could tell that they were thirsty, and in need of a cool drink.  The missionary said that some people walk seven miles just to obtain water for that day.
