I would like to take a moment to thank the Lord for such a beautiful week.  It has been an amazing journey.  This week was very productive, and I had a chance to get plenty of work done.  The kids and I had a chance to hang out, and watch television.  We had a long lesson on Ephesians 6:1-2, and a list of academic lessons.  They learned about the importance of prayer, and being kind to other people.  Every week I try to emphasis the importance of a good attitude, and having good manners. As I was sitting in my back yard I had a chance to just breathe in the fresh air.  Despite the fact that the south really heats up this time of year, I had a moment just to see all of the beauty that God created.  I am not talking about nothing that is man made, but the things that God created,  I had a chance to gaze at the trees, and look at the clouds in the sky.  I looked at the beautiful green grass, and realized how blessed I am. This morning I sing, because I have many blessings.  Sometimes we tend to overlook the small things that God has done.  We can sometimes take for granted the very things that other people may be lacking.  My many blessings include my everyday needs. I may not have a mansion, but I have a roof over my head.  I may not drive a Bentley, but I have a vehicle to get around in.  I may not wear designer labels, but I have clothes on my back.  I may not eat at five star  restaurants   but there is food on the table.  I may not be what society says is beautiful, but I am made in the image of my Father.  I may not be where I need to be, but I thank God I am not where I used to be. I have health, strength, my beautiful babies, and family.  I have my life, opportunities, dreams,and most important above all I have my heavenly Father.  Abba Father God I love you and thank you for my many blessings.

Welcome to the summer!!  It has been a long time since I have posted to my blog.  The children and I have completed our first year of home school, and we are enjoying the summer. Today I want to briefly talk about new life, and what it means to start over.  I am so excited about what God is doing in my life.  I have recently graduated college, and have plans to have another child.  Yes you have read it I am on the journey to motherhood again, and have decided to document everything through my blog. Before I expand my family there are a few things that I have to do.  I have to lose weight, change my eating habits, and make some lifestyle changes that will ensure a healthy pregnancy and baby.  So for the next six months I will be on a very happy and healthy journey. I believe that we should not be a prisoner to our past.  There is some point in our lives that we have to forget the former things that have past away.  In order...

Okay, I have started this new book series that I think will be a real blessing to many people, and I have all the ideas in place.  I have written the first draft, and have decided to write at least five pages a day until it is complete.  With the school year almost in completion I am thinking about what the summer is going to bring.  During this time we are looking at camp, sports, and maybe a vacation. The children are trying to adjust to all the new changes that we had to deal with over the last month.  With the death of my mother we are trying to get back on track.  I for one am trying to get back to work, and get everything organized.  I had to take some time off from writing to make sure that the children, and I were okay with all that was going on.  There is nothing in this life that can prepare you for when a loved one departs this life, but for the most part God has been good to us. As  I sit in the still and quiet room, I can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.  It is one of those evenings where I am en\joying a hot cup of coffee, while the kids are playing outside,  We had an average kind of day.  My youngest daughter was kind of cranky, and ,  my son decided that he wanted to do all of his chores during class time.  I am very strict when it comes to the children.  We are on a schedule that I intend to stick to.  We are up by seven thirty, and they bath to get ready for school.  By eight we are at the breakfast table.  My daughters are usually the ones that be gin the preparation of breakfast.  Of course I am there to supervise the whole thing. I do not think that they are too young to be trained.  I have often stressed training my children, and I do not mean that in a literal sense.  We actually apply real life lessons in our home school.  My girls know how to cook...

As I look around the classroom in my home I am in awe of what the Lord has done.  It is His mighty power, and grace that has kept me over the years.  I am thankful not because I am forced to, but because I am a very blessed and kept woman of God. I know that I am nothing without the power of God.  With Him I know that I can do all things and know that I have triumphantly succeeded in every battle that I have ever faced.  With him I am more than a conqueror.  I am a hero in my own right.  Being a spiritual being made in the image of my Father sets me up on a higher standard of living. I thank God for the life that I live.  I thank the Lord for his love, mercy, and grace.  I may not have a mansion, but I thank God for the roof over my head.  I may not own a limo, but I thank the Lord for the car that I drive.  I may not wear designer clothes, but I thank the Lord for the clothes on my back.  Most of all I thank the Lord for His So...

For unto us a King is born in the city of Bethlehem. He lay in the manger next to his mother Mary. All have come to adore this sweet child by bringing him gifts. A star shining in the night symbolizing the birth of the Messiah. We honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for he is the reason for the season. Jesus Christ has given his life for us to be free. 2 Corinthians 8:9 says "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich; yet for your sakes he became poor so that you through his poverty might become rich." Those that have not are rich through our Lord Jesus Christ. He, the Son of God did not have a place to lay his head. Luke 9:58 says "Foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man has no place to lay his head." Jesus lived a simple life, and he was very open with the people. You know this time of year can be tough for singles.  I have seen many people get depressed just because they want to be in a loving relationship.  When you think about it, the holiday season is full of expressions of love, family, and all types of joy.  There are many reasons why people are single, it could be the death of a loved one, or separation and divorce.  Many of us singles have found it to be extremely hard to happy this time of year.  When you are hurting there are some people that will not relate to what  you are feeling.  There may be a myriad of things that may distract you from seeking God. The kids are home from school and they are extra active, you have bills that need to be paid, and you don't have the money.  You want to buy Christmas presents, but you have to buy food for the house.  I have been there.  In the past I had so many reasons why I was depressed.  I would throw myself a pity party, because I was divo...

Praise the Lord everybody!!  We know the holiday season has been very busy, and there never seems to be enough time in the day to get things done.  There is cooking, shopping, work, kids, school, and everything else that is on your list.  You have so much to get done before Christmas, and you have started to feel stress and pressure.  This time of year many people have become stressed, because it is the holidays.  Some have felt the pains of depression, and the are suffering from the blues.  I want to let you know that you do not have to feel stress and depression.  This can be a stressful time for some people, but it can also be a time of joy and happiness.  The Holy Spirit can provide you with the peace and joy you need.  This week on my blogs  I will discuss how I keep my stress levels low, and how prayer helps me keep my focus. This week I will be talking about acceptance.  I have noticed that many young women want to serve God, and live by the standards of the world.  The fact is, God is calling us to live by a higher standard of life.  Society has glamorized certain lifestyles, and many young people feel like they should be included in it.  Most of them feel that being popular is better than having morals and values. Can we live by the world's standards, and still please God?  The Bible says in Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will."  As Christians we should live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. We are made in the image of God, and we are representatives of our Father.  That means that everything we do is being reflected, and the world is looking at us.  We are examples to the world.  Matt...

Last week I had one of the biggest scares in my life.  It was last Tuesday morning, and it was a typical day in our household.  I had awakened at 5:00 a.m., and prepared myself for the day.  The kids had been awakened at 6:00 a.m., and they were in their usual mood.  We went through our normal routine, and had fun during the morning of preparations.  I never end the morning routine without a word of prayer.  Like always we hug and kiss and say our goodbyes. After the children had gone I had a sense of peace from the morning prayer.  There was nothing unusual going on so I had continued with my normal routine.  At around 7:30 the neighbor was ringing the doorbell. She had her oldest daughter by her side, and her eyes were filled with tears.  She said " I am not trying to scare you, but a lady just called me, and reported that a man has our babies held hostage on the bus."  My jaw dropped in dismay , and I was scare...

I always tell my children to never give up on their dreams.  I want them to know that the sky is the limit when it comes to succeeding in this life.  I also want them to know that there will be storms that will come their way.  I am teaching them techniques, and ways to handle disappointment when it comes.  If I told them that life was going to be easy I would be setting them up for a world of disappointments and troubles. I have learned to smile through some of the most difficult moments in my life.  I had to smile while I waited to receive food at the local food bank.  I had to smile when I realized that my son became ill, and I had to smile when I had my surgery.  Some people ask me "How can you smile when your world is coming apart?"  I simply tell them "I know that God is working it all out."  Each day that I live I know that the Lord has something better planned for my life.  I can feel in my spirit that the Lord I is always...

  This is a journal of my daily life as a single mother, and the things that has caused some real challenges for me.   I have learned that real love is sacrificial, and it endures to the end.   After the separation of my family I am learning how deep love is.   Just months after my relationship ended my son was diagnosed with autism.   It was in the spring of 2008 when I had received the news.   I know that my son’s diagnosis was not a death sentence, but this was a very difficult time for me as a parent.   How could a single mother of four children take care of a special needs child?     I suddenly found myself becoming depressed.   I did not have a support system, and I felt the stress deep down in my body and spirit.   The only one that could help me out of this was God. God’s Blessing     I am a child of God.   God gave me destiny before I was born.   While I was in my mother’s womb God had a plan for my life.   Even though I have fallen short of the glory of God he still loves me.   While I lay in the pits of hell he extended his hand of mercy to me.   When the people decided that they wanted to persecute me God came to my rescue.   He has brought me to a place of refuge.   When my friends left me, and they turned their backs on me God did not forsake me.   Nor did he let me down.   When the money was low God provided me food, clothing, and shelter.   When the bills were due, and nobody would loan me a dime God provided me with money.   For every pain that I felt God the Lord blessed with me with comfort, and he showed me love.   God is number one in my life.   He is the reason that I exist.   I love the Lord.   He is the Lily of the valley.   It is ti...
