 Yesterday I had started a series that has been talking about the barrenness of the womb.  In fact I shared a story about Sarah, and how she had dealt with infertility, and being a barren woman. Just to recap on what has been written.  To be barren means to be infertile. unfruitful, or desolate.  In this case we are talking about barrenness, or unable to have children.  The story of Sarah has really touched my heart, as I was one that was once barren, but God has sense opened my womb, and blessed me with four children. Today I would like to continue our topic, and touch on the story of Hannah.   What happens when Love Goes Wrong We have all seen the results of love when it goes wrong.  In this hour we all stand as witnesses when the love of God is missing in our world.  In the mist of leadership you can seen, and bear witness to the lack of a God kind of love.  Division in the people, in which the Bible states there shall be no division among us, yet the world is a witness of how a lack of love has been generated.  Our division can be seen in Black and White, or a separation of. Plot.  It can seen politically, or in a separation of political beliefs.  You can even see the division in socioeconomic status.  The rich does not mingle with the poor. It was Jesus who became poor for our sake, so that we may be rich.  It says the Sin of man, and the Son of God had no place to lay his head, yet he sacrificed himself so that We may be made whole and free, yet our people from every corner is self loathing in hate, division, and mockery....

Today something heavy is laying on my spirit.  It seems as if it is almost troubling, and disturbing.  Normally there is a calm in me on a Sunday morning, but the atmosphere is deeply disturbed.  I had spent all of Saturday night perusing the internet, and reading material to catch up on world events.  I have watched several videos that had a message of end time prophecy, and realize that Christianity is heavily under attack.   There seems to be millions of religions that claim to be the right religion, and then there are the people that are currently spreading there agenda of no religious association.  My thought is how can the people not become confused, and be deceived by what they are hearing? Everybody knows that I am associated with Christianity, but know that I cannot force other people to believe.  I feel that a man/woman should study for themselves until the truth becomes relevant to them.  Nobody has brainwashed me into believing in Je...

I could not seem to fall asleep last night, and I was constantly thinking of my mother, and how she exited this world.  There is constant reminder that she was here.  When I walk into her room I can still smell her perfume.  Her pillow still smells like the shampoo that she used to wash her hair.  Her clothes are still hanging in the closet, and her journal is still on the desk by the window. Mother, had a sweet spirit, and this day reminds me of her warmth and love.  We loved to sit and drink coffee on cold days like this, and she told me stories of her childhood with the family.  I had a dream that she opened her eyes, and she had a sweet smile on her face.  I have read scripture after scripture, and verse after verse that says how good God is.  Yes, the Lord is good in every way that I can think of. Well here we are at the week's ending, and another Friday that so  many of us rejoice over.  We look  forward to the day that we can kick up our feet and relax.  For me the weekend is an opportunity for me to reflect on what has happened during the week, and catch up on my writing. You know with the news of Ebola I can see that there are many people that are starting to panic, and that is a very bad situation.  The media has a way of making things seem more out of control than it may be.  Do not get me wrong.  It is good to stay informed, but it is not good to just focus on the bad things.  I was reading an article that said the Ebola virus is expected to infect 1.4 million people.  When you think about it too long, that can cause quite a stir in some people.  When I was younger this type of news would terrify me, and I would almost pass out from panic and worry.  It was an awful site to my mom. As  I sit in the still and quiet room, I can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.  It is one of those evenings where I am en\joying a hot cup of coffee, while the kids are playing outside,  We had an average kind of day.  My youngest daughter was kind of cranky, and ,  my son decided that he wanted to do all of his chores during class time.  I am very strict when it comes to the children.  We are on a schedule that I intend to stick to.  We are up by seven thirty, and they bath to get ready for school.  By eight we are at the breakfast table.  My daughters are usually the ones that be gin the preparation of breakfast.  Of course I am there to supervise the whole thing. I do not think that they are too young to be trained.  I have often stressed training my children, and I do not mean that in a literal sense.  We actually apply real life lessons in our home school.  My girls know how to cook...

There is a scripture in the Bible that says "I look to the hills where my help comes from my help comes from the Lord."  In my eyes that scripture has so much meaning, and it is vey close to my heart.  I can not tell you how many times that I have contemplated on this scripture, and it has spokn to my heart.  In this life I have had some storms that have spiraled out of control, yet I could always count on God to be a refuge in the time of those storms.  I have learned that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  He will not change no matter what the season is. I have also developed a mindset that exudes nothing but positive thoughts.  I have decided to make positive affirmations everyday that God blesses me with.  I have made up my mind that I will not live with a defeated mentality.  I believe that as a child of God, and  a believer I can be victorious in every situation.  1 Corinthians 15:57 says "But thanks be to God, ...

The year 2013 is going to be a really great year.  I am looking forward to all the great things that is going to happen in my life.  Many of you have heard me mention positive affirmations, determination, and motivation.  Well there is a word that is important, but it is a dream killer.  PROCRASTINATION will bury your dreams alive, and stop the process of progress.  This is just a thought.  We know that tomorrow may not be promised to us.  Why should you wait to make your dreams come true?  If you continue to wait for your dreams to come true, do you think that life will pass you by? If you allow the opinions of other people to mold your character, are you believing in yourself? If you are sitting around depressed, and worrying about life, are you trusting God? Happy Summer everyone!!  Welcome to the beginning of summer.  You know one the most precious things about being a mom is watching your children grow.  Every step that they make will add footprints in the heart of their mom.  Today I have enjoyed some really cool activities with the children.  We had a fun time doing yoga.  Usually when I am working out, I consider that to be a quiet moment for me.  Today I spent some quality time with my daughter Keara.  She had insisted that we spend a few moments together.  She said "Mommy can we do yoga?  I want us to work out together."   In the mist of the day I had a list of chores that needed to be done, but I had to make time for my daughter.  I am glad that I made that decision.  I do not want my children to feel that I am too busy for them.  Despite all of the work that I had to do ,my children will always come first.  I think that activities can be fin f...

Summer is coming fast, and I have been searching for some healthy meals that will be easy to prepare.  It can heat up here in the south, and the kitchen is the last place that I want to be.  So I am preparing to do plenty of grilling. Another thing that I love doing is baking all of my desserts and snacks.  I have never been a  fan of snacks out of the store, and found that baking is better.  When I bake my own foods I can control the ingredients.  That means that I can control the sugar and salt content in my food.  I substitute sugar with a low calorie sweetener.  My desserts are very easy to prepare, and it can fit any budget.  The best thing is I plan to have the children in the kitchen to learn a few lessons about food preparation.  I want the children to learn to eat healthy, and learn about saving money.    I have become very concerned about how much sugar the kids are consuming, and have decided to adopt a heal...

I am so glad that I have chosen to go into business for myself.  When I first started this journey I had to pray for God's revelation.  I have been writing for over eighteen years, and always found it to be enjoyable experience.  Another thing in my life that I have found to be fulfilling is being a mother.  I think that this is the greatest role that God as given me.  I feel blessed and honored to be raising my children.  I am their first teacher, role model, and mentor.  Above all things I am a co creator of life.  I take great pride in teaching my children the Word of God, and helping them learn along their journey of life. It is 5:00 in the morning , and the alarm keeps ringing in my ear.  I have a whole list of chores, and work that I have to get done for the day.  I have piles of laundry that needs to be washed, and I have four children that has to be at school by seven.  I am backed up in my work, and have several deadlines that I have to meet.  The yard needs to be cut, and the bushes need trimming.  I have to go to the grocery store, and have dinner on the table by 4 pm.  Did I mention that I have to braid the girls hair, and take the car for maintenance.  This is the life that I live on a daily basis.  I am constantly on the go.  O I did not mention the kids have activities, and other things that is not related to school.  The life of a busy mom requires plenty of energy.  That is why I make it a priority to have some "Me Time".  Something as simple as a good hot bath to treating myself to a healthy lunch.   I always take t...

Okay I am single again, and a lot of things have changed,  I am the head of my household, the mother of four great children, and I have full control of all responsibilities.  I no longer have a covering, and I have felt a sense of loneliness without a partner.  I have often questioned if God could use me since my divorce.  I have always had a vision for ministry, and owning  my own business.  After my divorce I have been praying constantly asking the Lord to guide me through this phase of my life.  The process has been slow, and has taken much patience on my part.  I have been managing my home, and taking care of everything.  By the mercy and grace of God I am raising four beautiful children, and the Lord has been faithful in that area of my life.  He is guiding me on the journey of parenthood, and have blessed me to have a good group of kids.  (So far so good :)). This week my children and I have donated over fifty pairs of shoes to charity.  Every time they do something wonderful I want everyone to know about it.  In the past I have stressed how much I love being a mommy.  Well that is still true I love my children so much!  God has definitely placed me in the right role in life.  I think that motherhood is one of the highest callings from God.  It is not the only role that I have, but it is the most fulfilling and rewarding.  I like being the mom that is a chaperone on all school trips.  I am the mommy that has to take kids to soccer practice and art lessons every day.  Oh yeah I am the mommy that has homemade cookies for all the kids in the neighborhood!! God, Today I thank you for my life.  You blessed me, and my family to see another day.  I lift my hands in worship thanking you for being the Lord of my life.  My children and I honor you with our lives.  You have watched over me, and have taken care of me from the moment of conception. The enemy has tried to lead me astray, but I keep coming back to my first love.  You will always be in the center of my heart.  I bow down, and give you the praises that is due only to you Lord.  I come to you with all that I am, being thankful for all that you have provided us with. The Lord knows all about the issues that I face in my life.  He is aware of every ache and pain that I have endured through the years.  God has seen my thoughts before I made plans to utter a word.  God knows when I am getting ready to cry, and he has seen the moments where I was ready to give up. Nobody knows your journey, or the plans that the Lord has made for your life.  You and I can be in the same room for days, but we both have  different assignments.  Our visions are different, but we are both made by God.  He has perfect knowledge of man, and he knows all about what he is going to do for you.  The scripture says "O Lord You have searched me and known me.  You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all of my ways." Psalm 139:1-3. You do not have to feel like you are alone.  God has known you from the point of conception...

"I will lift my eyes to the mountains where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."  (Psalms 121:1-2) The Bible says that I can depend on God for all of my needs.  In a time of crisis I know who I can turn to.  It is no great mystery that God takes care of His children.  I have no doubt that God will let me go through my storms alone.  There is a guarantee that God is a refuge in a time of trouble.  God is a mighty warrior in battle, and He will always be victorious in all things.  God is the Omnipotent One, and He is the Magnificent Father.  There is not a situation, or circumstance that God will not handle.  I am witness that He will see you through.  It is evident that God will supply all of my needs.  Philippians 4:19 says "And my God will meet all of your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."  Hallelujah!!!! Sometimes we have to take our eyes off our problems, and place our focus on God.  We can have peace in our lives, and trust that God will help us through any situation or circumstance.  At some points in our lives we have to be like eagles, and learn to fly high above our problems.  When we learn how to soar we can reach a peak of peace, and have faith that will not waiver.  We can place our problems in the hands of our Father, and he will give us rest.  The Lord is not like man that he shall lie, and break his promises.  We are the children of the Most High God, and we are made in His Image.  My spirit is the spirit that I have received from my Father, and I am a direct creation of Him.  We have been empowered to handle all things in the name of Jesus Christ.  Even when the storms are blowing I am covered by my Father.  He is a refuge in a time of the storm.  My Father is the Lord, and I am a recipient of His mercy and...
