Brokenness To Healing Part One

Image
Brokenness is defined as a separation of two or more pieces.  It can be sundered by divide, separation, or disertion. It can on relation to broken ho.es, a broken marriage, or something as simple as a broken promise. In simpler terms brokenness is being incomplete, or a state of disarray and disorder.  Many people see brokenness, and refer to it as just being broken before God, but I want to talk about emotional and mental brokenness. I hope that you will sit back and read my story.  Let me minister to your heart and spirit.  You may find that you or someone you know has suffered from being broken and hurt.  Psalms 34:18 says "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in the Spirit".  This is a series of lessons and posts on brokenness and healing. I want to deeply minister to the women that have been touched by the brokenness of divorce, mental emotional, and physical abuse.  Maybe you have dealt with abandonment an...

Without A Moment's Notice

Image
Today my daughter had a loose tooth, and it was very painful for her to eat anything harder than pudding.  I had offered to pull the tooth, but she was too afraid to let me touch it.  She had an extreme fear that it was going to hurt too much.  After a few attempts to eat breakfast Keara became very frustrated.  A few hours had passed, and she was tired of struggling to eat. I said "Okay, can I look at your tooth now?  I will not hurt you."  In a moment's notice she kept her eyes on me, and I gently extracted  her loose tooth.    Sometimes we have to be like little children, and learn to let go and let God.  We must learn to trust God in every situation.  Even in a worst case scenarios we can trust God.  There are times that we may be very vulnerable to life, but God's love and grace keeps us in perfect peace. My mother's death has come as a shock, and the pain can sometimes feel unbearable.  I have chosen to trus...

Teaching Children To Give

Image
This week the children are on Spring Break, and that means that things are really busy around the house.  During this time of year we are at a half way mark for summer, and I am planning on homeschooling during the summer months.  Many will ask me "Do you like homeschooling during the summer?"  And I will always respond happily "Yes I love it!"  Summers are always full of opportunities for the children to learn.  One of the lessons that my children are learning about this week is how to give.  My children have been blessed with many good things.  I praise God for what he has done for me and my family.  He has been faithful in supplying all of my needs, and making sure that I have all the things that I need for my family. As a mommy I have always been keen on teaching my kids how to give without expecting anything in return.  This week they will be giving toys to charity for other children to enjoy.  I do not want them to be selfish, or...

A Home For A Child

Image
Gina* is a little twelve year old girl with a big smile. She loves to play sports, and she hopes to be an actress some day. Like most little girls Gina wishes she had a family that loved her. Born to a mother that was addicted to drugs this child is lucky to be alive. Most of her young life has been a living hell. I am quite fond of Gina, because she is so full of life. She exudes confidence ,and the zeal to live. I have chosen to write about this child, because she is an inspiration to me. When I look into her eyes I can see a hint of misery. It has to take a lot of strength to smile when you are sad. The true feelings that she may be repressing, will be the same feelings that she will have to face in the future. Many people want to ignore that children are hurting, suffering, and they are dying. How many more children will die due to neglect and lack? For a brief point in time I had to stop our conversation. The heaviness was too much for me to handle. I thought bac...
