This year I have made a pact with myself that I will finally lose the weight that I  have been trying to drop for the last few years.  About two years ago I had started a weight loss journey where I had lost aprroximately 85 pounds.  Since that point I have been up and down on the scale.  I have still maintained an exercise routine where I walk, and do strength training, but there is something left to be desired. Lately I have not been ssatisfied with my weight.  Do not get me wrong I have made peace with myself, and I love the woman in the mirror, but... What is positive affirmation?  Positive affirmation is a technique used to help program the subconscious mind.  It is used to bring about change by meditating, or repeating certain phrases.  Positive affirmations can be used to help change an individual's perspective or thought process.  We have the ability to use words to change the things that we believe. We can use the Word of God, or Scriptures to affirm things in our lives.  We can literally speak things into existence.  Proverbs 18:21 says "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit."  Whatever you confess will manifest in your life.  What you believe will show up as a result of what you are thinking.  Developing a positive mindset can help bring change.  The outcome will be the manifestation of positive results. The year 2014 is going to be a really great year.  I am looking forward to all the great things that is going to happen in my life.  Many of you have heard me mention positive affirmations, determination, and motivation.  Well there is a word that is important, but it is a dream killer.  PROCRASTINATION will bury your dreams alive, and stop the process of progress.  This is just a thought.  We know that tomorrow may not be promised to us.  Why should you wait to make your dreams come true?  If you continue to wait for your dreams to come true, do you think that life will pass you by? This week my children and I have donated over fifty pairs of shoes to charity.  Every time they do something wonderful I want everyone to know about it.  In the past I have stressed how much I love being a mommy.  Well that is still true I love my children so much!  God has definitely placed me in the right role in life.  I think that motherhood is one of the highest callings from God.  It is not the only role that I have, but it is the most fulfilling and rewarding.  I like being the mom that is a chaperone on all school trips.  I am the mommy that has to take kids to soccer practice and art lessons every day.  Oh yeah I am the mommy that has homemade cookies for all the kids in the neighborhood!! Sometimes we have to take our eyes off our problems, and place our focus on God.  We can have peace in our lives, and trust that God will help us through any situation or circumstance.  At some points in our lives we have to be like eagles, and learn to fly high above our problems.  When we learn how to soar we can reach a peak of peace, and have faith that will not waiver.  We can place our problems in the hands of our Father, and he will give us rest.  The Lord is not like man that he shall lie, and break his promises.  We are the children of the Most High God, and we are made in His Image.  My spirit is the spirit that I have received from my Father, and I am a direct creation of Him.  We have been empowered to handle all things in the name of Jesus Christ.  Even when the storms are blowing I am covered by my Father.  He is a refuge in a time of the storm.  My Father is the Lord, and I am a recipient of His mercy and...

The Lord knows all about the issues that I face in my life. He is aware of every ache and pain that I have endured through the years. God has seen my thoughts before I made plans to utter a word. God knows when I am getting ready to cry, and he has seen the moments where I was ready to give up. Nobody knows your journey, or the plans that the Lord has made for your life. You and I can be in the same room for days, but we both have different assignments. Our visions are different, but we are both made by God. He has perfect knowledge of man, and he knows all about what he is going to do for you. The scripture says "O Lord You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all of my ways." Psalm 139:1-3. With each passing day all of my hope is renewed.  I have great expectations about each new day that God has given to me.  The past is behind me , and is nothing more than a memory.  My mind is set on my goals, and focused on the future before me.  I have always known that God had plans for my life.  Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Hallelujah, God wants me to prosper, and he will order my footsteps in His Word!!!  Psalms 119:133 says "Direct my footsteps according to your word;let no sin rule over me."  God has plans for each of us, and he wants all of us to prosper in life. In the name of Jesus I pray that we can gain knowledge, and truth about the Word of God. Father some are confused, and they don't know what to believe. They want to pray, but don't know how. They may believe in you, but they need direction. My prayer is that all men, women, and children will come to know you as Father, God, and King. Each day I have to give honor to God for he is always worthy of my praise. He has granted me another day to do his will, and make a difference in the lives of other people. By faith I know that God will continue to see me through all things. I never question the things that God is doing, because I know that he has all things in his control. I am awakened each day with the belief that God will show up and show out on my behalf. In other words I have learned to believe that God will do exactly what he said he will do. If he said it, you better believe that it will come to pass!! From a realistic point of view nothing happens overnight, but God is true to his word. BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE, BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU MAY LOSE IT. THANK GOD FOR TODAY AND BE GLAD IN IT. THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE. Each day is a new day for me to be productive. I declare that the New year will be one of prosperity, and good productivity. It will be a new beginning, and great things are in store for me.
