This year I have made a pact with myself that I will finally lose the weight that I  have been trying to drop for the last few years.  About two years ago I had started a weight loss journey where I had lost aprroximately 85 pounds.  Since that point I have been up and down on the scale.  I have still maintained an exercise routine where I walk, and do strength training, but there is something left to be desired. Lately I have not been ssatisfied with my weight.  Do not get me wrong I have made peace with myself, and I love the woman in the mirror, but... I still see a need to change for the better.  Last week I think I did research on several diets, and I have looked at the latest forms of excersise.  I will admit that I am actually excited about changing my life. What is positive affirmation?  Positive affirmation is a technique used to help program the subconscious mind.  It is used to bring about change by meditating, or repeating certain phrases.  Positive affirmations can be used to help change an individual's perspective or thought process.  We have the ability to use words to change the things that we believe. We can use the Word of God, or Scriptures to affirm things in our lives.  We can literally speak things into existence.  Proverbs 18:21 says "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit."  Whatever you confess will manifest in your life.  What you believe will show up as a result of what you are thinking.  Developing a positive mindset can help bring change.  The outcome will be the manifestation of positive results. I would like to take a moment to thank the Lord for such a beautiful week.  It has been an amazing journey.  This week was very productive, and I had a chance to get plenty of work done.  The kids and I had a chance to hang out, and watch television.  We had a long lesson on Ephesians 6:1-2, and a list of academic lessons.  They learned about the importance of prayer, and being kind to other people.  Every week I try to emphasis the importance of a good attitude, and having good manners. There is a scripture in the Bible that says "I look to the hills where my help comes from my help comes from the Lord."  In my eyes that scripture has so much meaning, and it is very close to my heart.  I can not tell you how many times that I have contemplated on this scripture, and it has spoken to my heart.  In this life I have had some storms that have spiraled out of control, yet I could always count on God to be a refuge in the time of those storms.  I have learned that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  He will not change no matter what the season is. Hope is believing in the things that have not yet manifested.  It is trusting God for those things that you have need.  It is having faith, and telling that mountain to move.  Hope is believing God for the unseen things, yet you know that the blessing  is coming.  You can see the vision, and you have written it down.  You have spoken the words, and the words are in your mouth, heart, and your spirit. Okay, I have started this new book series that I think will be a real blessing to many people, and I have all the ideas in place.  I have written the first draft, and have decided to write at least five pages a day until it is complete.  With the school year almost in completion I am thinking about what the summer is going to bring.  During this time we are looking at camp, sports, and maybe a vacation. The children are trying to adjust to all the new changes that we had to deal with over the last month.  With the death of my mother we are trying to get back on track.  I for one am trying to get back to work, and get everything organized.  I had to take some time off from writing to make sure that the children, and I were okay with all that was going on.  There is nothing in this life that can prepare you for when a loved one departs this life, but for the most part God has been good to us. I have always believed that you should put your best foot forward.  Sometimes we have to step out on faith, and see where the Holy Spirit will lead us.  A will full of determination can go a long way.  I have learned that you can achieve your dreams if you let go of all the negativity.  It is easy for the enemy to come in, and try to defeat you.  It is his job to try, and destroy all of your dreams, desires, and goals.  The enemy will use all types of tactics to destroy you, but God is in control. In the past few weeks I have been talking about my business, and what I want to offer women from all walks of life.  I have placed so much trust in God to help me make things happen, and I am confident that God will supply all the resources and provisions for this business to come to pass.  With every post I like to add a scripture that is very beneficial to what I am creating.  In the book of Habakkuk 2:2 it says "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that the herald may run with it. I am so glad that I have chosen to go into business for myself.  When I first started this journey I had to pray for God's revelation.  I have been writing for over eighteen years, and always found it to be enjoyable experience.  Another thing in my life that I have found to be fulfilling is being a mother.  I think that this is the greatest role that God as given me.  I feel blessed and honored to be raising my children.  I am their first teacher, role model, and mentor.  Above all things I am a co creator of life.  I take great pride in teaching my children the Word of God, and helping them learn along their journey of life. This is the season for me to be totally happy, and I have found a joy that the world cannot take away.  Spring is in the air, and so is the love.  Life is meant to be joyous, and I am living my life to the fullest.  The children are growing, and are beautiful in their own ways. As I sit here looking out across my back yard I see all the beauty that God created.  The trees are like towers providing shade from the sun.  The day is mellow and cool.  You can tell that Spring is right around the corner.  My son is taking the time to enjoy the scenery as well.  The other children are happily playing with their friends in the front of the house.  And my oh my I can feel the serenity, and the peace of God.  I can remember talking to the Lord earlier in the day.  I was praying for some things to manifest in my life.  I have been expecting, and believing God for certain things,and trusting Him to bring them to past.  I believe in praying fervently for God to answer prayers, but certain things do not happen over night.  I have learned that some things are worth waiting for.  If everything was instantaneous I would not have time to prepare for the blessings that God has for me.  When I find myself getti...
