Trust: Learning to Believe When You Cannot See
Trust is one of the most powerful things we can give—to God, to others, and to ourselves. Yet trust can also be one of the hardest things to give when life has disappointed us, relationships have hurt us, or circumstances have left us wondering what comes next.
Sometimes we want answers before we move forward. We want to know how everything will work out, when things will change, and why certain doors closed. But faith teaches us that trust doesn't require us to have all the answers.
Trust means believing that God is working, even when we cannot see what He is doing.
Trusting God in Uncertain Seasons
There will be seasons when life doesn't make sense. You may pray and not immediately see an answer. You may feel like you are standing still while everyone else seems to be moving forward.
Those moments can test your faith.
But Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us:
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
We don't have to understand everything to trust God.
Sometimes the path becomes clear only after we take the next step.
Trust After Being Hurt
Trusting people can be difficult when you've experienced betrayal, disappointment, rejection, or broken promises. When someone hurts you, it's natural to build walls around your heart.
Healing doesn't mean you have to trust everyone.
Healthy trust is built over time through consistency, honesty, accountability, and actions that match words. You can forgive someone without giving them unlimited access to your life.
