Being Barren

Yesterday I had started a series that has been talking about the barrenness of the womb.  In fact I shared a story about Sarah, and how she had dealt with infertility, and being a barren woman. Just to recap on what has been written.  To be barren means to be infertile. unfruitful, or desolate.  In this case we are talking about barrenness, or unable to have children.  The story of Sarah has really touched my heart, as I was one that was once barren, but God has sense opened my womb, and blessed me with four children. Today I would like to continue our topic, and touch on the story of Hannah. I was so inspired by the stories of this woman that my first daughter has the name of  Hannah.  If you remember the story of Hannah, you know that her story is very unique.  She was the wife of a man named Elkanah, and she had become the mother of Samuel.  In Samuel 1 where the story of Hannah begins, you can see why her story is so unique.  Just l...

Prayer for Teens and Children Who Are Away From Home

I cannot imagine what life would be like if I were a young girl that had ran away from home.  How would I feel if I were lost, vulnerable, and had no where to go?  Would I be scared?  Would I hate my parents for not taking better care of me?  So many things come to mind as I sit and write about this. I know a young lady that is currently homeless, and my heart aches for her.  I have two girls, and cannot imagine them being out in the street with no where to go.  Each day that I have with my kids is a treasure, and not a moment is taken for granted.  Each day I practice godly character, and see how I can be a blessing to someone else. Today's prayer is for the teens, and children that have ran away from home.  Those that are in the streets with no way to go, and they are a long way from home.  Somebody's parents are worried sick tonight, and they are missing their child/children.  I hope that this prayer will minister to you today as ...

Staying Motivated During The Journey

Image
Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Okay I am two weeks into my plan, and everything is going great.  When I think of the first half of my weight loss journey, I think about all of the will power that I had in the beginning.  I think about how easy it was to encourage myself, and I think about all the optimism that I had in my mind, but there were days that I did not feel like going forward.  I mean I was not prepared for the days that I was not prepared for an obstacle.  There have been days that I did not wnat to work out.  I did not want to practice self dicipline, and i just wanted to eat the cookie in fridge.  How many times have you been standing on the scale, and you just felt like none of this is worth it?  Well, in my case there have been plenty of days that I would quit after two to three days of trying to bring change.  In the past I have procrastinated, and made the choice not to eat right, workout, or work to reach...

Change Has To Happen

Praise the Lord what a blessing it is to be alive today.  It is such a pleasure to bring you hope, motivation, and encouragement.  I am making some new changes to my web blog, and I hope to bring content that will be a great motivation in the lives of people.  I want to change the parameters of certain subjects, and things that are taking place in the commnunity, and in the world.  Below is a post that I feel is still speaking to those who he read the Words.  I hope that this will reasonate in your Spirit.  God bless you and I will see you next time. Have you ever had to look in the mirror, and make some tough decisions about yourself?  Hey, listen I have been doing this lately with myself.  Talking about a sister in need of a reality check I have been on the positive affirmations, meal plan, exercise, and been very aggressive about business, school and ministry goals. The piece that I have written below has taken me back to an earlier time w...

Even In Barreness There IS a Miracle

For the past few days we have been dealing with barreness, and how the  unfruitful can become fruitful and multiply.  On yesterday we had taken a look at how God can turn lack into favor.  This series was meant for the women that have been praying for a child, but it can also be applied to other areas of your life.  Within this series we have heard, and taken a look at the stories of Sarah and Hannah.  Today I would like to talk about Elizabeth and Rachael, and I would like to share my own story of barreness. I guess I have chosen these women, because they had a real issue that they had been aware of.  They all had a desire to be mothers, and I know that they were righteous  and godly women.  In the case of Elizabeth she is the mother of John the Baptist.  She was the wife of Zachariah, and she was barren.  Elizabeth was 88 years old when she was blessed with her son. Rachael is another woman in the Bible that suffered with infertilit...

The Barren Shall be FRUITFUL and Multiply

Today I would like to minister to the women that have been yearning for a child.  I want to share some of my journey into  motherhood, and what the scriptures say about some of the women in the Bible that was in direct contact with the Creator when they had given birth to their miracle babies. To be barren means to be unproductive, infertile, unfruitful, and desolate.  In the Bible there were several woman that had to deal with being barren, but today I will talk about three.  At a time in theese women's lives God had chosen to close the wombs of these women.  Again their wombs has been considred to be desolate, and very infertile.  These women of the Bible suffered from infertility. Back in these days there was no such thing as fertility treatments, and there were no such things as IVF, and egg transfers.  In the case of Sarah she is one of the first women that had a surrogate to carry a child for her.  Unlike women today the women in the Bib...

A Slave Mentality

Image
This weekend I have been watching documentaries, movies, and looking at images of all the things that my ancestors went through during their journey here in America.  Most of them had no idea about the uncertainties that they had to face here in a new country.  Many of them were probably fearful, scared, and had  very muddled belief, but they had to take a walk on the wild side to see what the end of the journey would be.  There had to be an outcome somewhere.  There had to be an ending.  There had to be a finish line for their journey.  At some point there has to be an ending to every story.  Even a fairy take has an ending.  No matter happy. or sad there is an ending to the story. In this case we are talking about real life,  We are talking about a nation of people who had to struggle. and fight in their journey.  Some of these people have found their identities, while others continue to struggle to relate to someth...

Resting and Not Worrying

While studying the Word this morning I had another disturbed feeling that hit my spirit.  I am most comfortable when my mind is clear, and I can focus on what I am reading. but there was an urgency in the need for me to pray. and seek God's face.  Usually when these feelings arise I am in a place where I am in the presence of God.  Lately I have been there more than usual.  I have found myself going into the presence of God several times in a day. It is no mystery that something is happening in this world, and my mind and spirit has been hungry for the wisdom and knowledge of God.  I have been making sure to guard the ear and eye gates of my children.  They are aware of what is going on, but I do not want them to be overwhelmed by what the world has become.  As I write this I am almost unwilling to turn on the T.V., but I do so for the sake of obtaining some information.  Instead of looking at the news I put it on cartoons to keep the kids engag...

Be Not Be Deceived Find Truth for Yourself

Image
Today something heavy is laying on my spirit.  It seems as if it is almost troubling, and disturbing.  Normally there is a calm in me on a Sunday morning, but the atmosphere is deeply disturbed.  I had spent all of Saturday night perusing the internet, and reading material to catch up on world events.  I have watched several videos that had a message of end time prophecy, and realize that Christianity is heavily under attack.   There seems to be millions of religions that claim to be the right religion, and then there are the people that are currently spreading there agenda of no religious association.  My thought is how can the people not become confused, and be deceived by what they are hearing? Everybody knows that I am associated with Christianity, but know that I cannot force other people to believe.  I feel that a man/woman should study for themselves until the truth becomes relevant to them.  Nobody has brainwashed me into believing in Je...

A Look Back

Image
I would like to take a moment to thank the Lord for such a beautiful week.  It has been an amazing journey.  This week was very productive, and I had a chance to get plenty of work done.  The kids and I had a chance to hang out, and watch television.  We had a long lesson on Ephesians 6:1-2, and a list of academic lessons.  They learned about the importance of prayer, and being kind to other people.  Every week I try to emphasis the importance of a good attitude, and having good manners. As I was sitting in my back yard I had a chance to just breathe in the fresh air.  Despite the fact that the south really heats up this time of year, I had a moment just to see all of the beauty that God created.  I am not talking about nothing that is man made, but the things that God created,  I had a chance to gaze at the trees, and look at the clouds in the sky.  I looked at the beautiful green grass, and realized how blessed I am. When I se...

I Will Not Hold On to a Defeated Mindset

Image
There is a scripture in the Bible that says "I look to the hills where my help comes from my help comes from the Lord."  In my eyes that scripture has so much meaning, and it is very close to my heart.  I can not tell you how many times that I have contemplated on this scripture, and it has spoken to my heart.  In this life I have had some storms that have spiraled out of control, yet I could always count on God to be a refuge in the time of those storms.  I have learned that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  He will not change no matter what the season is. I have also developed a mindset that exudes nothing but positive thoughts.  I have decided to make positive affirmations everyday that God blesses me with.  I have made up my mind that I will not live with a defeated mentality.  I believe that as a daughter of God, and  a believer I can be victorious in every situation.  1 Corinthians 15:57 says "But thanks be to ...

Through the Looking Glass

Image
My reflection  is sometimes a little fuzzy and I cannot figure out who I am.  I get a little tongue tied when people ask me about my identity.  I become a little afraid when I have to define who I am , and I cry when I become fearful.  Who am I  and what am I?  Who did God create me to be? Should I be all that I can be?, or should I be what the people want me to be.  I want to shout at the world, because I do not know who I am.  I have no clue when it comes to the will of God.  I feel like I have no purpose, and I feel like I have been created for nothing.  My heart is broken each time I hear the word purpose.  I have stammered when the subject has been presented to me.  Do have I worth in the eyes of God, or is there something that he has for me to do.  I feel a little confused about my life, and I just want to be me. The other day I was talking to a woman of God , and she seem to understand how I was feeling.  S...

My Positive Affirmations and Goals

Image
The year 2016 is going to be a really great year.  I am looking forward to all the great things that is going to happen in my life.  Many of you have heard me mention positive affirmations, determination, and motivation.  Well there is a word that is important, but it is a dream killer.  PROCRASTINATION will bury your dreams alive, and stop the process of progress.  This is just a thought.  We know that tomorrow may not be promised to us.  Why should you wait to make your dreams come true? If you continue to wait for your dreams to come true, do you think that life will pass you by? If you allow the opinions of other people to mold your character, are you believing in yourself? If you are sitting around depressed, and worrying about life, are you trusting God? If you died today where will you spend eternity? Life is a very precious commodity, and I am grateful for the life that God has given to me. I want to do more than just exist. I w...

You Cannot See it But You Know God Will Do It

Image
Hope is believing in the things that have not yet manifested.  It is trusting God for those things that you have need.  It is having faith, and telling that mountain to move.  Hope is believing God for the unseen things, yet you know that the blessing  is coming.  You can see the vision, and you have written it down.  You have spoken the words, and the words are in your mouth, heart, and your spirit. You have declared it in Jesus's name that all things are possible through the Lord Jesus Christ.  You have prepared yourself for the blessing.  Well my friends the scripture says "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."  By the supernatural power of God blessings are coming your way.  Keep your mind steadfast and stay focused on Jesus!  Trust, declare, confess, speak, and believe in what you have need of, or what you want God to do for you. In the book of John 20:27 "Stop doubting and believe"  In ...

Excerpt from my new book The Power of Love

There is no source stronger than the power of love.  We all know that hate exist, but there is something so Divine about the power of love.  It is the life source of all humans, and the center of every believers journey as a Christian. The first thing that comes to mind is the fact that the Bible says that God is love.  1 John 4:8 says "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (KJV)  The New International Version says "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8 (NIV)  God is so amazing it is an awesome feeling to know that someone loves us this much.  HE himself is full of love.  HE is made of love, and love comes from HIM. When I think of my life I can say that God has been there every step of the way.  No, everyone is not a Christian, and we all have many points of view. Many have turned away from the faith. As a believer I feel that I have to reach out, and love those who does not know God, or feel ...

Many Blessings

This morning I sing, because I have many blessings.  Sometimes we tend to overlook the small things that God has done.  We can sometimes take for granted the very things that other people may be lacking.  My many blessings include my everyday needs. I may not have a mansion, but I have a roof over my head.  I may not drive a Bentley, but I have a vehicle to get around in.  I may not wear designer labels, but I have clothes on my back.  I may not eat at five star  restaurants   but there is food on the table.  I may not be what society says is beautiful, but I am made in the image of my Father.  I may not be where I need to be, but I thank God I am not where I used to be. I have health, strength, my beautiful babies, and family.  I have my life, opportunities, dreams, and most important above all I have my heavenly Father.  Abba Father God I love you and thank you for my many blessings.

Keep Going Through The Storm

Okay, I have started this new book series that I think will be a real blessing to many people, and I have all the ideas in place.  I have written the first draft, and have decided to write at least five pages a day until it is complete.  With the school year almost in completion I am thinking about what the summer is going to bring.  During this time we are looking at camp, sports, and maybe a vacation. The children are trying to adjust to all the new changes that we had to deal with over the last month.  With the death of my mother we are trying to get back on track.  I for one am trying to get back to work, and get everything organized.  I had to take some time off from writing to make sure that the children, and I were okay with all that was going on.  There is nothing in this life that can prepare you for when a loved one departs this life, but for the most part God has been good to us. Now it is time to get to what I do best.  Inspiration...

Without A Moment's Notice

Image
Today my daughter had a loose tooth, and it was very painful for her to eat anything harder than pudding.  I had offered to pull the tooth, but she was too afraid to let me touch it.  She had an extreme fear that it was going to hurt too much.  After a few attempts to eat breakfast Keara became very frustrated.  A few hours had passed, and she was tired of struggling to eat. I said "Okay, can I look at your tooth now?  I will not hurt you."  In a moment's notice she kept her eyes on me, and I gently extracted  her loose tooth.    Sometimes we have to be like little children, and learn to let go and let God.  We must learn to trust God in every situation.  Even in a worst case scenarios we can trust God.  There are times that we may be very vulnerable to life, but God's love and grace keeps us in perfect peace. My mother's death has come as a shock, and the pain can sometimes feel unbearable.  I have chosen to trus...

Happy Holidays from All Inspired Ministries

Image
For unto us a King is born in the city of Bethlehem. He lay in the manger next to his mother Mary. All have come to adore this sweet child by bringing him gifts. A star shining in the night symbolizing the birth of the Messiah. We honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for he is the reason for the season. Jesus Christ has given his life for us to be free. 2 Corinthians 8:9 says "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich; yet for your sake he became poor so that you through his poverty might become rich." Those that have not are rich through our Lord Jesus Christ. He, the Son of God did not have a place to lay his head. Luke 9:58 says "Foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man has no place to lay his head." Jesus lived a simple life, and he was very open with the people. He was not conceited even though he knew that he was royalty. I love Jesus, because he gave himself for all mankind. He does ...
