The Worlds Conflict

Image
The Cost of War: Choosing Hope in a World of Conflict War has shaped the course of human history for generations. Nations have risen and fallen, families have been separated, and countless lives have been forever changed by violence and conflict. While history often remembers the strategies, battles, and political decisions, it is the human cost of war that leaves the deepest scars. Behind every headline is a person—a child who longs for safety, a parent praying for their loved one's return, a soldier carrying the weight of impossible decisions, or a community struggling to rebuild after unimaginable loss. War reaches far beyond the battlefield. It affects education, healthcare, economies, mental health, and the hopes of future generations. Conflict often begins with differences in ideology, power, resources, or territory. Yet, no matter the cause, war reminds us of what humanity stands to lose when understanding gives way to hatred. Fear can divide people, but compassion has the...

My Weight Loss Journey

Image
My Weight Loss Journey: Choosing Progress Over Perfection Weight loss has been about so much more than a number on a scale. For me, it has become a journey of healing, discipline, faith, and learning to love myself through every season. Some days have been filled with victories, while others have challenged my patience and determination. Through it all, I have discovered that true transformation begins in the mind and heart. There was a time when I felt overwhelmed by the thought of changing my lifestyle. I wanted quick results, but I soon realized that lasting change doesn't happen overnight. Every healthy meal, every walk, every workout, and every positive choice became another step toward becoming the person I was created to be. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that consistency matters more than perfection. I have had days when I made great choices and days when I didn't. Instead of giving up after a setback, I learned to start again the very next day. Progre...

Living With Disabilities

Image
Living with Disabilities: Strength Beyond What the Eye Can See Living with a disability is a journey that is often misunderstood. While some disabilities are visible, many are invisible, hidden behind smiles, determination, and everyday courage. Every person's experience is unique, but one truth remains the same: a disability does not define a person's worth, purpose, or potential. Society often measures success by physical ability or independence, but God sees something much deeper. He looks at the heart. He values character, perseverance, faith, compassion, and resilience. People living with disabilities demonstrate incredible strength every day by overcoming obstacles that others may never notice. There will be days filled with challenges—medical appointments, accessibility barriers, misunderstandings, or feelings of isolation. Yet even in those moments, hope can shine brightly. Supportive family members, caring friends, compassionate communities, and faith can make an enor...

Real Love

Image
More Than a Feeling In a world where the word love is used so casually, it's easy to mistake attraction, convenience, or temporary emotions for something much deeper. Real love isn't just about butterflies, grand gestures, or saying the right words. It is revealed through consistent actions, sacrifice, patience, and commitment. Real love chooses kindness even when it's difficult. It listens before it speaks. It forgives without keeping score and gives grace without expecting perfection. Love doesn't manipulate, control, or diminish another person. Instead, it encourages growth, celebrates victories, and offers support through life's hardest moments. We often search for love in others while forgetting that healthy love begins within ourselves. When we recognize our own worth, we become less likely to settle for relationships that are built on fear, insecurity, or unhealthy dependence. Self-respect creates the foundation for giving and receiving genuine love. Re...

Choose To Forgive

Image
they do." (Luke 23:34) Jesus demonstrated that forgiveness is rooted in love, mercy, and obedience to God—not in the actions of those who hurt us. His example reminds us that forgiveness is possible even in the midst of deep pain. Practical Steps Toward Forgiveness If you're struggling to forgive, consider these steps: Acknowledge your pain honestly. Pray and ask God for strength. Release the desire for revenge. Set healthy boundaries where needed. Continue choosing forgiveness whenever old hurts resurface. Surround yourself with supportive, faith-filled people who encourage your healing. Remember, forgiveness doesn't erase the past, but it does change the future. The Blessing of Letting Go When we forgive, we make room for God's peace to fill the places where bitterness once lived. We begin to experience emotional freedom, healthier relationships, renewed hope, and a deeper understanding of God's grace. Forgiveness allows us to stop reliving yesterday's pai...

The Need

Image
As a writer I sometimes write by feeling.  I write a out things that can affect people day to day.   This week I watched a mother lay her child to rest.  In fact I saw two mothers put their babies to rest.   A one year old baby lost his life to gun violence.   The mother helpless had to watch her child die at the hands of  the police.   His little body lay there restless on the pavement.   As a parent I couldn't imagine her pain, or the grief that she was feeling.  Another child dies at the tender age of 18.    He was just getting ready to face the world.   He was ready for college, but he never got the chance to make it.  I couldn't stand to look at his mom.  The pain on her face was too much to bear. Both of these children were young black boys.   Young brothers that had to taste the jaws of death at an early age.  They were not sick.  They had no illness....

Outcome to Overcome

It says that life and death is in the power of the tongue, therefore we should watch the words that we speak.  What we ɓind on earth is what we bind in heaven.  Sometimes we can curse with death by speaking unkind words.  The enemy wants us to lie to ourselves,  and others to prove God wrong,  or make him out to be a liar.   GOD is not like man that HE will lie.  We live in a world where GOD has been deleted,  or the idea of GOD has become false ideology.  It is hurtful that a majority of the world has take made the name of Jesus, a d created a laughing stock of what many hold dear and sacred.  Yet the world want us to adopt new age religion, and traditions that may go against what we belive our hearts are wrong.    There is no contradiction, and you can believe what you want  but I believe in Jesus.   I believe the Son  of nan died on the cross for my sins.  There is salvation,  and the f...
