Trust

Trust: Learning to Believe When You Cannot See Trust is one of the most powerful things we can give—to God, to others, and to ourselves. Yet trust can also be one of the hardest things to give when life has disappointed us, relationships have hurt us, or circumstances have left us wondering what comes next. Sometimes we want answers before we move forward. We want to know how everything will work out, when things will change, and why certain doors closed. But faith teaches us that trust doesn't require us to have all the answers. Trust means believing that God is working, even when we cannot see what He is doing. Trusting God in Uncertain Seasons There will be seasons when life doesn't make sense. You may pray and not immediately see an answer. You may feel like you are standing still while everyone else seems to be moving forward. Those moments can test your faith. But Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understandi...

Acts of Kindness

strength to extend kindness to others. Kindness Costs Nothing One of the most beautiful things about kindness is that it doesn't require wealth, status, or power. You can give kindness regardless of what you have. You can give your time. You can give encouragement. You can give forgiveness. You can give a listening ear. You can give hope. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give someone is simply making them feel seen, valued, and worthy. Choose Kindness We may never know how deeply our actions affect the people around us. A few words can stay with someone for years. A simple gesture can restore someone's hope. A moment of compassion can remind someone that there is still goodness in the world. So today, choose kindness. Smile at someone. Encourage someone. Help someone. Forgive someone. Listen to someone. Pray for someone. Love someone. And don't underestimate the difference you can make. Kindness may be a small act, but its impact can be enormous. Let us become people who...

Discernment

The Gift of Discernment: Learning to See Beyond What Meets the Eye In a world filled with countless voices, opinions, and distractions, discernment has become one of the most valuable gifts we can develop. Discernment is more than simply deciding between right and wrong. It is the God-given ability to recognize truth from deception, wisdom from foolishness, and opportunities from distractions. Many times in life, not every open door is meant to be walked through. Not every relationship is healthy, and not every opportunity aligns with God's purpose for our lives. Discernment allows us to pause, seek God's wisdom, and make decisions that honor Him rather than acting solely on emotions or appearances. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5–6 : "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." This scripture teaches us that discernment begins with trusting God instead of r...

The Worlds Conflict

Image
The Cost of War: Choosing Hope in a World of Conflict War has shaped the course of human history for generations. Nations have risen and fallen, families have been separated, and countless lives have been forever changed by violence and conflict. While history often remembers the strategies, battles, and political decisions, it is the human cost of war that leaves the deepest scars. Behind every headline is a person—a child who longs for safety, a parent praying for their loved one's return, a soldier carrying the weight of impossible decisions, or a community struggling to rebuild after unimaginable loss. War reaches far beyond the battlefield. It affects education, healthcare, economies, mental health, and the hopes of future generations. Conflict often begins with differences in ideology, power, resources, or territory. Yet, no matter the cause, war reminds us of what humanity stands to lose when understanding gives way to hatred. Fear can divide people, but compassion has the...

My Weight Loss Journey

My Weight Loss Journey: Choosing Progress Over Perfection Weight loss has been about so much more than a number on a scale. For me, it has become a journey of healing, discipline, faith, and learning to love myself through every season. Some days have been filled with victories, while others have challenged my patience and determination. Through it all, I have discovered that true transformation begins in the mind and heart. There was a time when I felt overwhelmed by the thought of changing my lifestyle. I wanted quick results, but I soon realized that lasting change doesn't happen overnight. Every healthy meal, every walk, every workout, and every positive choice became another step toward becoming the person I was created to be. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that consistency matters more than perfection. I have had days when I made great choices and days when I didn't. Instead of giving up after a setback, I learned to start again the very next day. Progre...

Living With Disabilities

Image
Living with Disabilities: Strength Beyond What the Eye Can See Living with a disability is a journey that is often misunderstood. While some disabilities are visible, many are invisible, hidden behind smiles, determination, and everyday courage. Every person's experience is unique, but one truth remains the same: a disability does not define a person's worth, purpose, or potential. Society often measures success by physical ability or independence, but God sees something much deeper. He looks at the heart. He values character, perseverance, faith, compassion, and resilience. People living with disabilities demonstrate incredible strength every day by overcoming obstacles that others may never notice. There will be days filled with challenges—medical appointments, accessibility barriers, misunderstandings, or feelings of isolation. Yet even in those moments, hope can shine brightly. Supportive family members, caring friends, compassionate communities, and faith can make an enor...

Real Love

Image
More Than a Feeling In a world where the word love is used so casually, it's easy to mistake attraction, convenience, or temporary emotions for something much deeper. Real love isn't just about butterflies, grand gestures, or saying the right words. It is revealed through consistent actions, sacrifice, patience, and commitment. Real love chooses kindness even when it's difficult. It listens before it speaks. It forgives without keeping score and gives grace without expecting perfection. Love doesn't manipulate, control, or diminish another person. Instead, it encourages growth, celebrates victories, and offers support through life's hardest moments. We often search for love in others while forgetting that healthy love begins within ourselves. When we recognize our own worth, we become less likely to settle for relationships that are built on fear, insecurity, or unhealthy dependence. Self-respect creates the foundation for giving and receiving genuine love. Re...
