Virtuosity Inspired

   For unto us a King is born in the city of Bethlehem.  He lay in the manger next to his mother Mary.  All have come to adore this sweet child by bringing him gifts.  A star shining in the night symbolizing the birth of the Messiah.  We honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for he is the reason for the season.  Jesus Christ gave his life for us to be free.  2 Corinthians 8:9 says "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich; yet for your sakes he became poor so that you through his poverty might become rich."  Those that have not are rich through our Lord Jesus Christ.  He, the Son of God did not have a place to lay his head.  Luke 9:58 says "Foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man has no place to lay his head."  Jesus lived a simple life, and he was very open with the people.  He was not conceited even though he knew that he was royalty.  I love Jesus, because he gave himself for all mankind.  He

     Lord I wanted to pray for the little children that will not feel the blessings of Christmas.  I am not talking about toys, but I am referring to love, food clothing, and shelter.  We all have experienced trials and tribulations in our lives, but their are some people that have no hope. They are lost, hungry, and confused.  Right now there are single parents who can not feed their children.  A father is out of work, and can't put food on the table.  Lord when I look back over my life I have to be thankful for what you have done.  When I was down to my last dime you made a way for me.  I could be silent, but you are worthy of my praise.  I realize Lord that I am not perfect, and I know that I am not where I should be.  I am so thankful that I am not where I used to be.  Most important above all I can shout when I think about where you are taking me.  I trust you Lord with all that I have.  I will bless your name forever.  If there is anybody that does not know Jesus I ask

  If we trust in the Lord why do we worry?  God has promised in his word that he will do exactly what he says he will do.  In the mist of adversity I have found myself worrying about the final result.  I had to learn to trust God with all that I have.  In the book of Matthew 6:26-27 says "Look at the birds of the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than them?  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" Because God has given us assurance through his word we have a guarantee that he will never leave nor forsake us.  With the economy spiraling out of control, many people are worrying about their financial future.  During this time of the year many have stressed themselves out, because of the holidays.  Thank God that he gives us his love.  Exodus 33:14 says "My presence will go with you and I will give you rest."  God is the creator, and he has known us from conc

             As I look at my aunt fight for her life I am touched in my spirit to pray for her.   Believing that God has control of all things I wait patiently for him to heal her.  I pace back and forth looking for some words of encouragement that will allow the holy spirit to enter the room.  Having faith alone can be very powerful, because I know that God can do all things.  I preceded to pray for my aunt, and I told her that she has to believe as well.  God is very powerful when he is in the mist of believers.  In her case she needed healing in her mind, body, and heart.  God is the great physician, and he is a healing God.  When all else fails God can heal us heart, mind, body, and soul. In the name of Jesus I pray that we can gain knowledge, and truth about the Word of God.  Father some are confused, and they don't know what to believe.  They want to pray, but don't know how.  They may believe in you, but they need direction.  My prayer is that all men, women, and children will come to know you as Father, God, and King.  Here are a list of scriptures from the word that deals with prayer.           As I sit here thinking about what the word says about the life of our Savior I realize that I can never repay him for all that he has done.  I often wonder how Jesus felt about his life on this earth, and what he is thinking about how we are living today.  We know from the scriptures that Jesus was born in a manger surrounded by animals.  In the book of Luke 2:16 says " So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby who was lying in the manger."  You would think that the King of the world would have been born in a better place, but he was born in a barn.       The story of Jesus's life has always touched my heart, and brought an enormous amount of joy to my soul.  To follow a man like Jesus is an honor.  His life was very simple, yet it had great complexity.  My Savior experienced what it is like to be human, and he is the Lord of Lords. You can find hope through Jesus Christ.  Through our loving Savior you can have hope, and know that Jesus will provide us with the promise of happiness.  In John 10:10 Jesus says that he has come to bring life more abundantly to the people of God.  There are thousands of people that are living with depression, and they are hopeless.  With the economy showing no signs of improvement people are stressed about what their future may hold.  All things are through Christ Jesus, and we have an assurance that God has all things in his control.  Here are a list of scriptures that will help you find out about hope in the word of God. You are my refuge and my shield, I have put my hope in your word.  Psalm 119:114 Be strong and take heart,all you who hope in the Lord.  Psalm 31:24  I say to myself , "The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait on him." Dear Lord we pray that you will give us wisdom.  In the times that we live in we ask you to help us be wise in all things.  Let us seek your face, and be full of your word to help us understand what you have for our lives. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.  Provers 1:7 Give me understanding and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.  Psalms 119:34 Surely you desire truth in your inner parts, you teach me wisdom in the innermost place.  Psalms 51:6 For the Lord gives wisdom,and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.  Proverbs 2:6 If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given him.  James 1:5 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, then peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy,  and good fruit, impartial, and sincere.  James 3:17 Does not wisdom call?  Does not understanding raise her voice?  P

For God so loves the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.    Each day I have to give honor to God for he is always worthy of my praise.  He has granted me another day to do his will, and make a difference in the lives of other people.  By faith I know that God will continue to see me through all things.  I never question the things that God is doing, because I know that he has all things in his control.  I am awakened each day with the belief that God will show up and show out on my behalf.  In other words I have learned to believe that God will do exactly what he said he will do.  If he said it, you better believe that it will come to pass!! From a realistic point of view nothing happens overnight, but God is true to his word.  There are many people in the Bible that have been recipients of God's favor.  Sarah, the wife of Abraham was barren.  She could not have children.  Through God's favor she gave birth to Abraham's son Issac. (Genesis 21) What about the favor that God had shown to Esther, and how he blessed her to save he

           In the world that we live in it is hard not to worry.  Every time you turn on the television, or pick up the newspaper something is always happening.  Some of us get a little anxious around bill time.  You may worry that the money will run out before all the bills are paid. The holiday season is in full swing, and the pressure to buy gifts is causing people to worry.  It is a true saying that giving is a blessing, but what if you do not have anything to give during the holiday season?  What about the families that can't afford to spend hundreds, or even thousands of dollars on gifts.  We all have moments in our lives where we have worried about something.  There have been moments in my life where I wondered how I was going to feed my children.  Looking back at those times I realize that God always made a way for me.  Even when I didn't know how to trust him. In the book of Isaiah 41:10 it says "So do not fear for I am with you;do not be dismayed, for  I am you

   Lord God thank you for your loving kindness.  I am grateful for all that you are doing in the lives of your people.  Thank you Father for the joy that you have placed in my heart. Look down in the hospitals, and the nursing homes.  Bless and protect the children this morning.  Place a net of protection around them this morning.  In the name of Jesus, Father be our guide in these last days.  Help us to make the right decisions, and help us to have a positive attitude. We know that you are King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and we are able to do all things through Jesus Christ.  If there be one that does not know Jesus, Father I pray on his/her behalf that you come into his/her heart.  If you will confess that Jesus Christ is your Savior then you have found pure joy.        Lord as I sit here in my home looking out at the rain fall your love never cease to amaze me.  You have given man the authority to rule over the earth.  Home... such a beautiful place.  We live in such a beautiful world, and I thank you for giving me one more day to be a part of it.  As I move a little closer to my destiny I am starting to see how God is working on my behalf.  Only God can open doors that no man can shut.  God is the author of life.  He knows the plans, and the vision that he has placed inside of you.  God has given us the power to overcome obstacles that may fall in our way.    I have to thank God for another beautiful day.  As the children and I get ready to end our holiday vacation I am glad for the time that we have spent together.  I am in the process of teaching them a very valuable lesson.  We have to give thanks to God everyday for he is worthy.  I lift up my hands to the Lord for he is the creator of all things.  I praise him, because he supplies all of my needs.  I sing, and give him worship, because he is God.  I have so many reasons to be thankful, and I will open my mouth to praise God daily.  It is not all about how I worship, or the things that I say.  God is looking at my heart.  My praise comes from the unsound joy, and the love that I have in my heart and spirit.  When I praise God I am not looking for man's approval.  I want God to see me, and I want the people to see God working through me. I have to thank God for all the things that I have.  My children, and I are happy, healthy, and full of love.  When I think about all of the

   Being thankful is not just about a holiday, but giving thanks to God for all that He has done.  As people we have very different opinions about how we give thanks to God.  I believe that God is King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.  I have personally accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior.  I have placed God in the center of my life, and I place no other before him. I praise God for the freedom to worship the way I want to.  Believe me I will not take my freedom for granted.  It is very sad that people don't realize the blessings that God has placed here for us to enjoy.  Think about this for a minute.  There are millions of people that are living in poverty, and they are dying of simple diseases.  Children are dying from the hands of violence, neglect,and poverty.  Half of all households in our world consists of only one parent.  Young women are dying of AIDS, and the lives of young people don't seem to be getting better. How can we make a difference without a platform to stand

     The things that I love about God is he never boast about his power.  He is slow to anger, and he loves us unconditionally.  He does not discriminate, or show favoritism among his children.  When we make mistakes he is there to help us pick up the pieces.  He is a father to the fatherless, and he takes care of the sick.  He has compassion for the poor, and he supplies all of their needs. My Father created heaven, earth, and made man from the dust of the ground.  He has given me another opportunity to praise his wonderful name.  I love the Lord, because he is the creator of all things, and I worship him in gladness and truth.  As the days and seasons change time is moving quickly.  I don't know what you have been through, and where you are right now.  God can see all things, and he knows what you are facing.  Please know that we serve a Mighty God, and he loves you very much.  Until next time may the Lord richly bless you with peace and prosperity.

      Lord, I am so thankful that you granted me the opportunity to praise you this morning.  Here in the mist of the holiday season, you have allowed me to be a blessing to other people.  Through Christ Jesus I am able to do all things.  I ask the Lord to shower down his blessings on those who may be struggling this Thanksgiving holiday. I offer myself to the service of the people, because the Lord has blessed me to be in a comfortable place.  As a young child my mom, and I were very poor.  I know the feelings of hunger, but by the grace of God he has taken care of me. When I look back over my life, and see the hardships that I have faced.  God has been more than a provider.  I can not remain silent in the presence of the Lord.  Every day that I live is an opportunity to tell everyone that God is good in all of his Majesty.  I may not get an award for my blog, but when I stand before the Lord I want to hear him say job well done thy good ,and faithful servant.           Lord what if I was sick, and I could not get well.  I can't imagine being under the bridge trying to keep warm.  God what if I lose all my hope, and feel like I can't go on.  Maybe I would feel better if my car were in better condition.  I went to the mall the other day, and I saw a great pair of boots.  I wanted to buy them, but Lord they were too expensive.  I wish I could go to Red Lobster, and get some shrimp to eat.  I don't like this coat, it is too long.........  I will not complain for the Lord has supplied all of my needs.  I pray for those that are in need, and I ask the Lord to bless them.  I will not take the simple things for granted, and I honor God for taking care of me, and my family.  Until the next time may the Lord richly bless you.               Okay you have a dream that you want to come true.  God has given you purpose, and a vision for your life.  Excitement is sending you on an emotional high.  You want to tell the world that God has spoken to you.  After a few conversations with friends and family you start to feel that they don't understand what you are feeling.  Days and even weeks pass, and you wait for some sign that you are near your destiny.  You have faith in God, and you trust Him with all your heart.  You have exhausted yourself, in the mist of trying to win man's approval.  Sometimes people can't see what the Lord has promised to you.  It is good to have a stadium full of adoring fans, but remember to keep your focus on God.          I was awakened this morning by the sounds of little feet running through the house.  My youngest daughter decided to be the alarm today.  By the excitement in her voice you would have thought it was Christmas morning.  She transitioned from one room to the next yelling for her brothers, and sister to get up.  All would have been well, but it was 5:00 in the morning.  With the thought of sleep on my mind I jumped up to see what was going on.  To my surprise my baby had fixed breakfast for the family.  She had bowls full of cereal, and the milk had spilled on the table.  As she struggled to get the spoons, I could see that she was very determined to finish the task that she had started. Today my daughter is my inspiration.  She put her little heart, and soul into fixing breakfast.  When I think about all the effort that she out into her surprise, I am forced to think about my own goals.  At times I can get a little discouraged about the plans that I have made for my life.  Bei

          Gina* is a little twelve year old girl with a big smile.  She loves to play sports, and she hopes to be an actress some day.  Like most little girls Gina wishes she had a family that loved her.  Born to a mother that was addicted to drugs this child is lucky to be alive.  Most of her young life has been a living hell.  I am quite fond of Gina, because she is so full of life.  She exudes confidence ,and the zeal to live.  I have chosen to write about this child, because she is an inspiration to me. When I look into her eyes I can see a hint of misery.  It has to take a lot of strength to smile when you are sad.  The true feelings that she may be repressing, will be the same feelings that she will have to face in the future.  Many people want to ignore that children are hurting, suffering, and they are dying.  How many more children will die due to neglect and lack?     The definition of change is to become different or transform.  It also means to convert from one stage to another.  In my own words it means to let go of the past.  In me eyes it means to embrace the future, and see what tomorrow may bring.  I believe that change has come when we can trust God,and step out on faith.  I feel that transformation happens when we learn to take chances in life.  I refuse to give up on my dreams.  I am determined to be a success.  I will not back down in the mist of adversity.  God did not give me the spirit of fear, and I am made in his image.  At one point in my life I felt all alone.  Trapped in a world of darkness I could not find my way.  I was sad, broken, and in need of a breakthrough.  I was lost in a maze of depression, and felt that suicide was my only option.  For two years I drowned myself in misery expecting my life to change.  No one reached for me, and there was nothing that could be done.  My emotions carried me on a journey that made me

          As we look at the last few months of 2010 I contemplate about the people that have lived, loved, and learned the lessons of life.  Those that have known the versatility of disappointments, and the rewards that life can bring.  Many that have paved roads of gold and others that have left their marks for us to see.  Yet their voices are still drifting in the wind.  They are whispering a soft breeze of wisdom in our ears.  The bridges that were built, and the roads that were traveled represent the people that once inhabited the earth.  Though the bridges were burned, and the journey was long our ancestors left us a pot of gold.  This is a people that have been through the struggle, and they survived. We are the people that will lift every voice to sing the praises to God.  For he is King of kings, and Lord of lords.  Jesus Christ gave his life for us to live.  "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

         Okay I got this new thing going, and people are starting to recognize that I am very zealous about writing.  I know that I have not perfected my art, but I am getting better.  I feel the same way about my life.  I love the song Many rivers to cross, because it speaks to my spirit.  I can't think of anyone that went through life without facing a trial or two.  You know we have to start from the bottom, and work our way to the top.  I have been inspired by so many people, and some have had a major impact on my life.   When I first found out that I was pregnant I was elated.  Like most new mothers I followed the instructions that the doctor had given to me.  During my sixteenth week of pregnancy I found out that I was having a son.  For nine months I prepared for the birth of my son. On Mother's day in the year of 2002 I had a beautiful red headed baby.  I discovered that he needed a lot of attention.  The first few months were very overwhelming.  Over time it has become easier to be a mother, and I have given birth to three more children.  I think that childbirth is one of the most amazing processes in life.  I love my children with all my heart.  They are true blessings from God.
