Have you ever needed God to answer a prayer?  I mean you were very desperate, and you didn't know where to turn.  It was a situation that was so bad, you wanted to give up.  Sometimes in life we will have those moments where the storms just keep on raging out of control. I want you to know that God knows all about your troubles in life.  He is the Creator , and knows all the things that we deal with.  In the book of Psalm 139:1-4 says " You have searched me Lord and you know me.  You know me when I sit down and when I rise;you receive my thoughts from afar You discern my going out and my lying down, you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord know it completely."            I am so blessed to be a mom.  One of the greatest joys of being a mom is watching my kids develop.  They all have unique personalities, and I am always encouraging them to be the best at everything.  Sometimes parenting can be a tough job.  What if you are single and parenting alone?  I am a single parent of four beautiful children, and I have learned that this is one of the toughest jobs that I have done. From the birth of my first son to the delivery of my youngest daughter, I have experienced some highs and lows in motherhood.  The journey through motherhood has been a good one for me.  I did not say that I have never had a moment of weakness. There have been times that the storms of life were raging out of control, and I needed to seek refuge under my Father's wings.  The Bible says "God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble."  (Psalm 46:1)  I...

Each morning I have to tell my children how wonderful they are.  I am always amazed at their sparkling personalities, and how much I love them.  I feel it is my obligation to help build up their confidence.  My kids are proud to know that I am their mom, and they know how much I am blessed to have them in my life.  When I read the Word of God I know that HE feels the same about us. Yesterday I talked about being in the image of God, and how we are all made in the same likeness of our Father.  When I think of how much I love my kids, I am thinking of what God said about how wonderful we are.  Psalm 139:14 says "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."  Sometimes we need to be reminded that the Father put a lot of work in how he designed us.  I am glad to be made into his image.  We should never forget how important it is to remind our children how wonder...

We are all made in the image of Jesus Christ.  In the book of Genesis 1:26 it says " Then God said let us make man in our image, in our likeness."  That means that we are the children of the Most High God.  It also means that we should esteemed in this honor.  Because we know where we come from it should be almost impossible to fail.  Because we know who we belong to we should strive to be more like the Savior.  He is the perfect example  of greatness.  Jesus Christ was more than willing to do the will of His Father.  He was God in the flesh, and he was the son of man.  Born to a mother of innocence Jesus had a perfect image.  What can we do to be more like Jesus?  Our attitudes that we have about everyday can be a reflection of Jesus Christ.  1st Peter 3:8 says "Finally , all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind."  I believe that Jesus Christ was very humble wh...

The Bible gives us many scriptures that tell us why we should pray. I believe that prayer is a way that we can reach God. By having a conversation with the Lord, we have the ability to ask God for specific things through prayer. Prayer is an expression of thanks , or an expression for help. It is an expression of communication, or simply a way to talk to God. Ephesians 6:18 says " And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and request. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."    We should always give thanks to the Lord for all that he has done for us.  Colossians 1:3 says " We always thank God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you."  In the book of Thessalonians 5:17 says "Pray without ceasing"  Through prayer we can have a real conversation with God.  In times of trouble we can reach out to God through prayer.  Psalm 118:25 says " Save us, we pray O Lord, O Lord...

What does the Bible really say about the church?  Is the church a building, or a body of believers?  For many years people have wondered what the church was, and what it really stands for.  There are some scriptures in the Bible that talks about church, and the thousands of denominations that are listed under it.  Matthew 16:18 speaks of the church "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not over come it."  Church can mean the assembly of people.  What does the Bible say about the assembly of God's people?  Romans 12:4-5 says "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function so in Christ we though many, and each member belongs to another.  Can we forsake church and still have a relationship with Christ?  One Scripture that has always held my attention was Ephesians 4:12 it says " To equip his people for works of se...

As I continue to usher in the year of 2012, I contemplate about the people that have lived, loved, and learned the lessons of life.  The people that have known the versatility of dissapointments, and rewards.  Many of our ancestors have paved the roads of gold, and others have left their marks for us to see.  Yet their voices are still drifting in the wind whispering a soft breeze of wisdom in our ears. The bridges that have been built, the roads that have been traveled, and the trails that have been made represent the pavement of a people who once inhabited the earth.  Though the bridges have been burned, and the roads were long, they left us with a pot of gold.  WE are the people that will lift every voice to sing the praises of the Lord.  He is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords.  Jesus Christ gave his life for us to live an abundant life.  "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth sh...

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28  In life there will be all kinds of storms.  These storms can sometimes rage out of control.  I have had my share of ups and downs.  Trials have come into my life, and I had to learn to trust God to help me out of the pit.  I can remember that I had to sow in tears.  I had to deal with the loneliness and pain that I was feeling. I believe that God is calling us to  a higher power.  HE has given us authority over adversity.  God has sent his spirit as a guide to help us through life.  Romans 8:26-27 says "The spirit helps us in our weaknesses.  We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words can not express.  And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the spirit, because the spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God'...

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.  (Romans 3:23-24) The price that Jesus paid I can never repay, I am so thankful to my Savior for what he has done on the cross.  I worship the Lord, and I am grateful for all that Jesus has done.  God bless always.
