When There Seems to Be No Way Out
I know that there are times in your life that you simply don't know what to do. You constantly look for ways to ease the pain that you are feeling. You forgot that today would have been your 15th anniversary, but you divorced several years ago. Friends and family do not seem to understand why you have not remarried, or at least dated a little. You want to get out and mingle, but you are terrified of loving someone again, in fear that he/she may hurt you. The children insist that you get out of the house to go watch a movie, but you are consumed with the idea that you have to take care of them 24/7. It is hard for you to let go of the idea that the kids are getting older, and you can relax a little bit.
It is around nine in the morning, and you have been contemplating about your life, you have examined every inch of yourself, and every aspect of yourself. You have looked up and down for a solution, and have felt the anxiety of what you have been thinking. It seems like there is no way out. The government shutdown has got you feeling stressed. The way of the world has you feeling blue. The fact that you haven't met the right guy has you wondering of love still exist for you. You are concerned about the kids futures...........relax and breathe.
God will not leave you in a situation without providing a way out. The Bible says in the book of Philippians 4:6 " Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." You do not have to live your life in turmoil, or suffer from anxiety. God has everything lined up in his perfect will for your life. No matter what is going in in the world you can be in perfect peace. Philippians 4:7 says "and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." In Jesus we can have perfect peace, be at rest to enjoy life. It is true that life is not a bed of roses, and tests and trials will come, but as children of the Most High God we can find solutions to every problem.
When you leave your request with God, know that he has heard your prayer. Some results are instant, and others may take time to come to pass. He is God, and He knows what you are in need of even before you utter the words. God is able...... he is God... and He knows YOU. Take a deep breath, and relax. Everything will be alright.
