He came to me with an open hand, and I felt a sense of sorrow.  I had to stare at the man for a while.  He had a sign that said I will work for food.  I reached into my bag and pulled out a Bible.  I placed it in his hand.  As  I turned to walk away he said "Miss what can I do with this?  He said I need change for something to eat"  I looked at him and I said to him. " Mister I can give you a small amount of change to get you a sandwich.  That will keep you for a few hours.  I can give you a few dollars, and that will feed you for the day.  But what I just gave you will feed you for the rest of your life." Many will ask me "Do you like homeschooling during the summer?"  And I will always respond happily "Yes I love it!"  Summers are always full of opportunities for the children to learn.  One of the lessons that my children are learning about this week is how to give.  My children have been blessed with many good things.  I praise God for what he has done for me and my family.  He has been faithful in supplying all of my needs, and making sure that I have all the things that I need for my family. As a mommy I have always been keen on teaching my kids how to give without expecting anything in return.  This week they will be giving toys to charity for other children to enjoy.  I do not want them to be selfish, or have a selfish attitude about giving. Happy Thursday everyone.  This is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice, and be glad in it.  Well, today  I am studying I and I hear the words "PEACE BE STILL" The scriptures say "He says be still and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalms 46:10) Today I am in a peaceful state of mind, and my spirit feels so much peace.  Even in the mist of so many pessimistic people and sources I have learned to put my eagle's wings, and soar above everything that I have been reading.  I am aware of all the things that are taking place, but my trust and hope is anchored in my belief in Yahweh. This morning while I was studying the Word I turned my attention to the Psalmist David, and his battle with the Giant Goliath.  David was merely a teenager when he had slayed the hero of the Phillistine army. To many people David didn't seem like much.  To most he was a little shepard boy whose responsibility was to keep the sheep.  The concept is nobody really expected much from a shepard boy, but Yah had other plans for David. Goliath of Gath, was a giant that every man was afraid of and fearful to fight.  I am sure that this left very little room to think logically.  Fear places mental pressure on the mind, and one may not be able to ponder anything other than being afraid.  David was a young shepard boy from Israel, but he had such great faith in God.  All the men in Israel had been afraid of Goliath a man from Gath.  He was very large in stature, and had impeccable skills as a warrior. Shalom and I greet you in the name of Jesus.  My spirit ia very troubled today, and I am disheartened by the recent shootings that has claimed the lives of two black men.  My spirit is greviously vexed by everything that is taking place in our world. The enemy has opened his mouth, and he has come to devour who is in his path.  He has come to kill to steal, and destroy all he can.  "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." This week I will be talking about acceptance.  I have noticed that many young women want to serve God, and live by the standards of the world.  The fact is, God is calling us to live by a higher standard of life.  Society has glamorized certain lifestyles, and many young people feel like they should be included in it.  Most of them feel that being popular is better than having morals and values. Can we live by the world's standards, and still please God?  The Bible says in Romans 12:2 "Do not conform  to the pattern of this world,  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing  and perfect will."  As Believers we should live a life that is pleasing to the Lord.
