Weekly Scriptures 1st John 3:1-6

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God!  And that is what we are!  The reason the world does not know us is that it does not know him.  Dear friends, now we are the children of God, and what we will be has not been made known.  But we know that when Jesus appears, we shall be like him.  For we shall see him as he is.  All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.  Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact sin is lawlessness.  But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins.  And in him there is no sin.  No one who lives in him keeps on sinning.  No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 1st John 3:1-6

God has made a promise that he will never leave or forsake us.  We have an assurance in God's word that he will always be with us.  God is not like man that he shall lie.  I thank God for his mercy and grace.  Blessed is the man or woman that walks upright in the law of the Lord.  Because we love God, we will not sin against him.  Father in the name of Jesus I pray for the salvation of all people.  Father you love us for who we are, and I thank you Lord.  I am not worthy of all that you have done for me, but I am grateful everyday.  Thank you Father for life, and the opportunity to give you glory and praise.
