Minty Moment with Prayer

A Minty Moment with Prayer Prayer is like a breath of fresh air for your soul. Just as mint refreshes your mouth, prayer renews your heart. You don’t need fancy words or a perfect setting—just a willing spirit. Whether whispered in the morning, shouted in the car, or thought in the quiet of your mind, prayer is a way to connect with something greater. It’s not about getting everything you want; it’s about growing closer to the One who already knows what you need. When you're overwhelmed, let prayer be your calm. When you're grateful, let prayer be your song. And when you're unsure, let prayer be your compass. So take a deep breath. Exhale the noise. Inhale the peace. And pray—fresh and true, like mint on your tongue.  Until next time may God richly bless you.

Considering Yourself

Being Good Within Yourself: The Foundation of a Fulfilling Life In a world that constantly pushes us to seek validation from others, the greatest achievement is finding peace and goodness within ourselves. Being good within yourself isn’t about being perfect—it’s about self-acceptance, integrity, and personal growth. What Does It Mean to Be Good Within Yourself? Being good within yourself means feeling a sense of inner peace, self-worth, and alignment with your values. It’s about: Self-Acceptance – Embracing who you are, flaws and all. Integrity – Living in a way that aligns with your morals and beliefs. Emotional Balance – Managing your emotions rather than letting them control you. Self-Compassion – Being kind to yourself instead of self-critical. When you cultivate these qualities, you build an inner foundation that isn't shaken by external circumstances. Why It Matters Many people chase external validation—through achievements, relationships, or social status—...
Embracing New Beginnings Embrace the Journey: Finding Inspiration in Everyday Life In a world where we are constantly bombarded with the idea of "success" and "achievement," it's easy to forget the simple yet powerful truth: the journey is just as important as the destination. We often look ahead, searching for that next milestone, the next big break, or the next moment of triumph, but we forget to stop and appreciate the small, beautiful moments that make up our daily lives. Today, I want to remind you of the importance of embracing the journey — in all its messy, uncertain, and imperfect glory. 1. Growth Happens in the Process, Not Just the Outcome It’s easy to measure progress by external achievements: promotions, awards, social media validation, and financial success. While these milestones are important, they don’t capture the true essence of growth. Growth is shaped in the moments where we struggle, learn, and overcome. It’s in those late-night thought...

Are You Seeking?

When I look at my son I am reminded at how blessed I am to have all five senses.  At times some of us tend to forget how much God has favoured us just by giving us life.  Man may never see, or recognize what God has placed in us.   My son has autism.  He is almost twenty three, and the oldest of four children.  I prayed for him.  I always had the desire to be a mother.  I had this calling before anything else in my life.  I was deeply involved church with the initiative to serve.  Eight months after I got married I got pregnant with my first some.  I can remember praying to the Lord for a child, and he took me to the scriptures, and while reading the prayer of Hannah It says in Psalm 113:9 " He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the  Lord".  I  have never forgotten that day.  Eight months after that prayer I became pregnant with my first child.  Fro...

Faith and Trust

Sometimes where you are deeply rooted in Christ we have to go out on a limb of faith.  I mean sometimes we can get complacent in our faith, and want God to do something for nothing.  For instance when God provides food, or provisions he is giving us our daily bread.  We should be thankful for food especially in this economy, and time.  It should be easy to shout hallelujah on the good days, and yes the not so good days.  It says that everything works for our good so those not so good moments are shaping us for something.  In my case it's teaching me trust and patience.  I have to learn to wait on God, while trusting the process.   I think that trust, and faith goes hand in hand.  We trust God to heal us when we are sick.  We have faith in God to provide knowledge, and skilled people to assist us.  We trust the Lord to help us in a time of need, and we have faith to be led by the Spirit.  The race that we are running ...

The Need For Respect

Image
I was looking in the mirror at myself, and realized the beauty I possess.  I promise you this was not intended to be a vain statement, nor is it a rant about looks.  This is about a need for respect.  The priority of self.  The importance of loving your own reflection, and not comparing yourself to everyone else.  You are a jewel in God's eyes.  I think it's disrespectful to put yourself down, and compare yourself to the girl next door, or the woman standing next to you.  She doesn't have your qualifications, because she has her own.  No two individual are alike.  Even twins have their own set of DNA.  You are Unique!  Praise God he has designed us in a way that sets us apart from each other.  The respect you give yourself is the respect that we can command from other people. As people we deserve the best forms of love, respect, and happiness. Embrace yourself.  Surround yourself with good energy.  Release anyth...
